A seven-year-old girl was killed by a stone statue in a Munich hotel. It was initially unclear why the figure, which weighs around 200 kilograms, fell over, as the police announced on Sunday.
According to the findings, the child was in the courtyard of the hotel when the accident happened. Several people became aware of the situation through a scream and freed the critically injured girl. The child was taken to a clinic under ongoing resuscitation, where he later died.
The girl spent her vacation in Munich with her parents from Italy. The investigation into the case was still ongoing.
