Saturday afternoon will see the sixth edition of the solidarity parade, organized by “El Vestidor”, and “Tacones”, in Alamillos Street. It is the first edition since the previous two years.

The event’s main purpose is to raise funds for the Jabalcon Association for the Mentally Handicapped. The event starts at 8:30 pm in central Alamillos Street, which has been converted for a few hour into a fashion runway.

Rosa and Pili Jimenez (the managers of El Vestidor & Tacones) remember that their family was always directly or indirectly connected to the Jabalcon Organization, as their grandparents were founders of this association. “It is a source pride that after so long we can modestly cooperate with the association which does such a huge job>>,” said Rosa.

Rosa and Pilar have everything in place for the 2022 edition ‘Solidarity Parade. This is after many preparations that they made to find collaborators, sponsors, models, dresses, shoes, and other collaborators. There will be 16 volunteers to parade this year. There are two Jabalcon users and two girls among the models.

Eight years ago, the first edition raised 2,000 euros. In 2019, the fifth edition brought in 5,000 euros thanks to the support of many local businesses.
