This activity is expected to be the most popular in Roquetas de Mar this summer. The existing esplanade, which is normally used for circuses, will host a large animatronic dinosaur exhibit with over 100 animated figures. It runs from this Saturday through next August 28.
Yesterday, Gabriel Amat, the Mayor of Roquetas, de Mar, was accompanied by Juanjo Salvador, the Councilors of Education, Culture and Youth, and Juan Jose Rubi, the Councilor of Sports and Free Time. They were joined by other members of Government.
Jose Maria Canal, the head of the exhibit, said that visitors can see more than 120 dinosaurs on an area of 4,000 meters. The area is a place for cultural entertainment and leisure, where visitors can enjoy the largest Tyrannosaurus Rex tour around the globe with over 15m long and 8m high. This exhibition is currently on tour throughout Spain. It will be moving to Barcelona after the one in Roquetas de Mar has finished.
Gabriel Amat, the mayor of the city, commented on the importance to offer residents, tourists and visitors the opportunity to experience a variety of tourist offerings beyond the sun and beaches. “In which you can find cultural or leisure proposals for all ages.”
