The group, which will have Carlos Martín de San Pablo as CEO, and a team of more than 150 people specialized in different areas, is structured under four business areas: development of sustainable urban environments, through Zubi Cities; investment, through Zubi Capital; entrepreneurship, through its impact venture builder, Zubi Labs, and education with Zubi Education.
One of the main objectives facing the company is to change the way cities are built and inhabited, providing innovative solutions in urban development. The subsidiary responsible for creating this new city model is Zubi Cities, which, through its positive impact real estate development area, led by Mayte Ortega, will give life to urban projects such as Barrio La Pinada, the first eco-neighborhood co-created by its future inhabitants . Zubi Cities will launch two more real estate projects in the Valencia metropolitan area in 2022, one in Burjassot and the other in Torrent, and plans to expand nationally in 2023.
Another of the business areas of Zubi Cities is urban research, development and innovation, which will have Juan Murillo as director of innovation, and from where projects are materialized that provide solutions to the main challenges in urban design and construction. In addition, this subsidiary will be responsible for the management of La Pinada Lab, the open innovation center for sustainability, an active agent in the national innovative ecosystem and which already has a wide network of collaboration between actors from the academic, business and community sectors. of public administration.
The investment area of the Zubi Group will be managed from the subsidiary Zubi Capital, whose objective is the management of investment vehicles and assets that allow investors and clients to generate both economic performance and social and environmental impact. To achieve these objectives, the company has two business sub-areas. Zubi Asset Management, which has Lucas de la Vega and Carmen Pumariño as investment directors, offers its clients access to investment vehicles focused on alternative assets, whose objective is to generate additionality through a triple impact: social, environmental and economic , positive. Zubi Wealth Management, with Armando Fandós as Wealth Director and Ignacio Perea as Investment Director, was born with the vocation of being a Multi-Family Office committed to generating a positive social and environmental impact through wealth management, helping individuals, families, non-profit entities and other financial advisory institutions, to obtain financial returns by aligning their investments with their concerns and personal values.
Zubi Labs, the Impact Venture Builder, created by Iker Marcaide in 2019, and which since then has been dedicated to the creation of startups as an instrument to generate social, environmental and economic value, becomes part of the group as its entrepreneurship area.
Virginia Sánchez and Matthieu Heusch will be the directors of the venture builder that has given life to more than twelve initiatives, including CoCircular, Woodea or Hands On Impact. Its activity lies in identifying social and environmental challenges and attracting entrepreneurial talent to co-found companies and work together for a mission: to provide solutions to create a better future.
Education has been a fundamental axis and origin of the group since Iker Marcaide, together with Mariano Pontón, today director of Zubi Education, launched Imagine Montessori School, a school that already has two centers in Valencia, and which this year will begin the expansion of its emblematic center in Paterna.
From Zubi Education, the group aims to transform education for the advancement of society, where each person contributes their unique talents to collective progress. The way to achieve this is through regulated and non-regulated teaching activities for all ages as a tool to develop the practical, social and affective sense of people as well as their imaginative and cognitive abilities.
