George Zimmerman, who was killed in 2012, a black Teenager Trayvon Martin in Florida, has sued the parents of the young person and seek damages. Zimmerman ask for more than $ 100 million, said his lawyer, Larry Klayman on Wednesday.
The main witness for the prosecution in the process in the year 2013 had been a “cheater”, the “false statements supplied to charge Zimmerman,” said Klayman. The parents of Trayvon Martin, their attorney Ben Crump and others had conspired to get a witness statement in favour of the teenager. Crump rejected the allegation as “unfounded”. It was a “shameless attempt to capitalize on the life and the grief of others for Profit,” he explained. Zimmerman wants to make “us believe that he is an innocent victim of a deep conspiracy”, although there is no credible evidence, “the hair-raising to support the allegations,” said the lawyer. “This story defies logic.”
The neighborhood watchman Zimmerman had shot and killed the unarmed 17-year-old Martin in February 2012, near Orlando in the state of Florida. The jury classified the case as self-defense and cleared him from the accusation of the severe manslaughter. The case sparked nationwide protests and a heated debate about racism. (step/sda)
