It was earlier in the year as it became clear that there should be a kind of sequel to the classic american 90-new series about the siblings Brenda and Brandon Walsh and their friends. The new series is a kind of metaserie, where the actors are trying to get to a so-called reboot of their old television series, but has a difficult time succeeding due to internal fights.
Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green and Gabrielle Carteris were quickly ready for the sequel, while Doherty, who played Brenda, first said no.
