The Federal Prosecutor’s office in Brazil, in the framework of corruption proceedings to the Oil company Petrobras and the construction company, funds in the amount of CHF 365 million in Odebrecht to date will be refunded. Overall, authorities have seized in the process the complex of assets of around 700 million Swiss francs.
The Swiss Federal Prosecutor Michael Lauber, and the Brazilian General Prosecutor Raquel Dodge discussed on Monday in Brasilia at a Meeting the cooperation between the two authorities, like the Federal Prosecutor’s office announced on Tuesday. The 365 million francs were refunded with the consent of the persons entitled to the benefit of Injured parties in Brazil, it is said in the message. The last Transfers of approximately 9 million, were issued at the end of March 2019.
70 proceedings pending
The Federal Prosecutor’s office already since April 2014 in connection with the semi-public Brazilian Petrobras and the conglomerate investigations Odebrecht.
