“– Yes, we want to pick up and get off part of this flow out of the cells. Then we have used the hjälpmolekyler that can pass through the outer wall of the bacteria, come down to the bacterial membrane and pick up some of these electrons and get them out of the cell, ” explains Lo Gorton, professor in chemistry at the university of Lund, for the TT.”
“By feeding the bacteria with glucose, at the same time as you send in a molecule that is capable of getting through its thick cell wall, the researchers have managed to bring out the power in real time.”
