– Well, what she says is that there is not support right now. It is something that Theresa May has shown through the whole process so it is an incredible stubbornness. So even if she does not put forward the proposal in the evening, she may come back later in the week or next week.

” the Idea is that the house of commons vote first on whether to allow this process, and then to make the actual vote on the various options to the Mays plan on Wednesday. Among the options mentioned are also available to give people a second chance to vote on whether it wants the country to remain in the EU.

” Such ”indicative votes” that they have been called for, is not binding on the government and May have – so far – rejected the idea. But what it means is that a tug-of-war over the control of Brexitprocessen is in the time between the government and the parliament. Would a majority of members in favour of a softer Brexit – to have a closer relationship to the EU in the future than what Mays the plan, it will become very difficult for the government to ignore it. It would be to put themselves up against what the parliament, the democratic elected legislature, want.

– It is impossible to answer. But the possibility that it becomes a avtalslös Brexit has increased in recent times – despite the fact that neither the government nor the opposition want it. It is far from certain that any of the options that parliament may vote on next Wednesday wins favour with a majority.

– Then it goes back to the choice that the parliament has so far not been able to do: leave without a contract or accept Mays agreements. Rejected Mays agreements leave the Uk the EU without an agreement on 12 april.
