The mayor of Le Havre has Thursday night announced. A married woman accuses Luc Lemonnier (50) nude photos to have sent. The mayor of the Normandy port town takes a step to the side and wants, as his family to protect.

Lemonnier came to power in replacement of Edouard Philippe, who in may 2017 after the election of Emmanuel Macron to the position of president, was appointed as the new French prime minister. The father of four children, is seen as a confidant of Philippe. Both are former members of Les Républicains, the right-wing party of former president Nicolas Sarkozy.

The mayor filed in June 2018 a complaint for defamation against the woman concerned. It had several local councillors photos with a poedelnaakte Lemonnier sent. She declared that Lemonnier unsolicited photos two years earlier had sent. The complaint of Lemonnier remained without result.

The woman recently gave on the French radio unrecognizable an interview in which they again confirmed that the mayor her the photos had been e-mailed. They claimed never to have open for an extramarital relationship. She has more than twenty years married and is a mother of several children. They considered themselves a complaint against the politician, but that is ultimately never came to be. They sent the photos to the council for its behaviour.

According to the lawyer of Lemonnier is in line what the woman says does not match the reality. The lawyer says that his client is shocked and hurt by the allegations. If photos are exchanged, it happened that with the consent of two adults, according to the lawyer.
