The Danish cyclist Jakob Fuglsang (Astana) once again showed good form in the World Tour race Tirreno-Adriatico on 5. stage, which ended in Recanati.

Fuglsang put all of the other favorites to the wall and be able to run alone across the finish line for the world championships and advancement in the general classification.

the First half of the 180 miles were fairly flat, but the last 90 miles was a constant up and down – mainly on a 22,8 km long circular route around the mĂ„lbyen Recanati.

13 man utilized the flat terrain to run away, among other Danish Mads Pedersen. The distance reached over eight minutes, but as soon as the increases reported on the route, exploded in the field behind it.

in Particular, Primoz Roglic’ hold, Jumbo Visma, put at ease on upward, and lead to the front group dropped down to around four minutes already with 70 kilometres to the goal.

Mads Pedersen held the forefront as one of the last udbrydere, which was picked up by the favorites, where Fuglsang attack with 24 kilometers to the goal.

Just a few kilometers later, Fuglsang pulled Nico Denz back to the fellow countryman Mads Pedersen and Davide Gabburo in the front.

On the subsequent descent, they laid four over a half a minute distance to the pursuers, in Fuglsang put the other three, as they hit the penultimate climb.

the Dane handed in the degree out for the stage victory. With three kilometres to target, he had 53 seconds down to Adam Yates, Primoz Roglic, Mads Pedersen and Gabburo. But still had the last steep climb.

It was Fuglsang excellent, and Yates and Roglic was not in the vicinity of to catch him.
