The Dutch man to Shamima Begum, 15-year-old joined the Islamic State in Syria, says that he wants her to return to Holland with him from Syria.

Yago Riedijk and uk Begum was married a few days after she arrived in Islamic State territory in Syria.

Her husband said to the BBC that he stands by, that he fought for ICE. But he wants now to return home with his wife and their newborn son.

Riedjik, which is 27 years old, detained in a kurdish detention center in northeastern Syria. He stands to six years in prison if he returns to the Netherlands.

Riedijk says today that he is taking distance from the ICE, and that he tried to leave the group. He says that he has been imprisoned in Raqqa, where he was subjected to torture, because ICE accused him of being a Dutch spy.

the Begum, which today has 19 years old, fled with her husband from the city of Baghouz – Islamic State last territory in eastern Syria.

Riedijk and Begum surrendered to a syrian militia, and ended up, along with 39,000 others in the refugee camp of al-Hawl in the northern part of the country.

Begum is supposedly taken to another place, reports the BBC.

Riedijk, who grew up in the Netherlands, says that he saw nothing wrong in marrying the 15-year-old schoolgirl from London, when she appeared in Syria, because she herself had chosen it.

Teenagepigen has said that she wants to come home to the Uk, because it will be better for her newborn son to grow up there.

She has previously lost two children who died of malnutrition and disease, while she was in Islamic State’s self-proclaimed caliphate.

In several interviews with the british media have Begum criticised certain aspects of Islamic State and its caliphate. But she says she does not regret that she went there.

Begums case has sparked political debate in London. Among the other Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, is strongly opposed to the Begum deprived of his british citizenship.

The young briton has, among others, said that it was “o.k.” with the beheadings, Islamic State members have made. It is according to her, allowed under islamic law.

Shamima Begum has, according to the uk authorities claim bangladeshisk citizenship because her mother is a citizen of Bangladesh.
