Oscars Today is the day. Tonight is the Oscarceremonie in LA start at Monday morning we will finally know who is there this year with the figurines. Last week, we organized already a poll for your opinion about the awards to hear, and this was the result!

Additionally, we also assess the chance of your favourites according to critics. We put the movies on our woman on the spot, Kristien Gijbels, already for the eighth year in a row for The Latest News towards the Oscars attracts.

The results do not lie: ‘ Bohemian Rhapsody ” is the big favorite. With a score of 41% (1.521 votes) puts the film head and neck above it. Or the film is also the statue in the wait will drag, is the question. Larger contenders are, among others, ‘Roma’ and ‘Green Book’.

In the second place we see the first superheldenfilm who ever was nominated for the Oscar for ‘best film’: ‘ Black Panther ’ (with 19%). The picture is enormously popular with the public at large, but the chances are that he is in that category and also wins is small. On the other hand, it is already a big achievement for a film of the genre to be nominated. Finally, we also have a weak spot for ‘ A Star Is Born ’ (17%), but that film is unfortunately more likely to be ‘best original song’ to win, and belongs therefore not to the favourites for the top prize.

in The opinion of Kristien: “I think that ‘Roma’ award for ‘best foreign film’ will win, and that they should give him a second Oscar. Therefore, I suspect that ‘Green Book’ this year’s Oscar for ‘best film’ will win. It would be a pleasant surprise for a film like ‘Black Panther’ with the price to get to see it go, but that seems unlikely. It is very remarkable that they have been nominated.”

Best actor

Given the results of our first poll is no surprise that Rami Malek , the protagonist from ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, your favorite (61% of the 1.440 votes). Rami, crawled into the skin of Queen singer Freddie Mercury and conquered this many hearts. Good news, because the chance that the Oscar win is definitely there. In the second place, with 20%, we find Bradley Cooper back, the opponent of Lady Gaga in ‘A Star Is Born’.

View Kristien: “I believe that Rami Malek will win this year. My personal favorite was actually Christian Bale in ‘Vice’, but I suspect that the movie only the small prizes will win.”

Best actress

With an overwhelming majority, wins Lady Gaga it for you in this category (53% of the of 1,263 votes). Her performance in ‘A Star Is Born’ put the singer on the map as a talented actress. Unfortunately, it does not look that they have also, with the Oscar going to go home. She competes with crackers such as Olivia Colman (‘The Favourite’, she got a nice 22% of your votes) and Glenn Close, that 14% scored in our poll.

in The opinion of Kristien: “The chance is very great that Glenn Close wins this year for her role in ‘The Wife’. She is just about the Leonardo Di Caprio of the women. She was seven times nominated, but won never seen a statue. I think they are there this year, finally all alone in her closet, she has, after all, even though the Golden Globe for ‘best actress’ won this year.”

Best actress in a supporting role

Here is the according to you, however, ‘The Favourite’ all the way . With Emma Stone as a big favorite, with 56% of the 1.028 votes. Her tegenspeelster, Rachel Weisz , stands on the second place with 20%. Also here we have good news, because it is as good as certain that one of these ladies with the price. The chance is slightly larger that the Weisz will be. They won also all the BAFTA and Golden Globe for that role, that is usually a good indicator to Oscarwinnaars indicate.

Best actor in a supporting role

The vast majority of them voted for Sam Elliot , who in ‘A Star Is Born’, the brother and manager of Bradley Cooper played. The big contender in this category is, however, Mahershala Ali , for his role in “the Green Book”.

in The Opinion of Kristien: “Mahershala Ali is in this category, the largest contender. Maybe the statue to Richard E. Grant might go for ” Can You Ever Forgive Me’, but my favourite is Ali.”

Best animated feature

‘Incredibles 2′ wins here, with 44% of the 1.081 votes. On the second place we find ” Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse’ with 22%. The latter has the most chance to win, given the use of a brand-new animation technology.

View Kristien: “It is likely that ‘Spider-Man’ here, with the feathers is going to run. ‘Isle of Dogs’ is not known, but is also a contender. All that is but a small chance.”

Best original song

It was to be expected, but ‘Shallow’ from ‘A Star Is Born’ is the big favorite for the Oscar for ‘Best Original Song’, with a whopping 62% of the 1.139 votes. A notable second place is for the song ‘All The Stars’, ‘Black Panther’. It is likely that Gaga with the statue at the get go.
