U.S. President Donald Trump has called for in his state of the Union speech to the Congress on the cross-party cooperation. The policy of revenge and retaliation must be overcome in favor of cooperation and compromise.
This Trump said on Tuesday evening in front of the assembled members of the house of representatives and the Senate, in his much-anticipated speech. However, he insisted in the Convention speech on his wall: “I get it built,” said Trump.
at the same time he expressed an opinion on the economic policy. “The only thing that can stop the strong US economy, stupid wars and politics or partisan investigations.” So Trump practiced in his state of the Nation, among other things, a sharp criticism of parliamentary investigations. “If there is to be peace and laws, there can be no war, and no investigation. It just doesn’t work!”, he added.
the criticism was aimed at Trump obviously on the studies on the Russia-affair in the Congress as well as other investigations to Trump or his environment, all of which are driving the Democrats with their new majority in the house of representatives.
U.S. President Trump campaigned in his state of the Nation also for a safe and modern immigration system. “We are gathered here today at a time of unlimited possibilities,” said Trump before both chambers of the U.S. Congress in Washington. (chk/AFP/sda)
