Copenhagen Police pressure on Christiania and hashhandlen in Pusher Street has led to many clashes between law enforcement officials, people linked to the hashhandlen and people from the outside.

According to Copenhagen Police, the police have registered 114 cases of violence or threats of violence against the police officer in connection with the efforts of Pusher Street in the period from 25. may last year to 21. January of this year.

Vicepolitiinspektør Lars O. Karlsen, who is responsible for the police action on Pusher Street reports that police searching for the six people for violence against the police. Mainly by the throw of objects, such as stones, bottles, firecrackers, etc.

They have found and charged a perpetrator in 35 of the 114 cases, but now, ask the police the public for help to recognize the six people, five men and a woman, as it has not been possible to identify otherwise.

Vicepolitiinspektør Lars O. Karlsen says that the fugitives are not some of them, they know from the environment around hashgaden.

– by Experience we know that the violence is being initiated and orchestrated by drug traffickers in Pusherstreet, but then to have the luck to sometimes get an outsider in the riots. The ones we know from Pusherstreet, is not necessary to advertise, but they are here six persons, we call for simply because we have no identity on them, he says.

– It is the violent to be called for publicly in this way. Why choose to do it?

– Because it is a serious crime, and we look with great seriousness that people try to do harm to our police officers. We don’t go out with it here, unless we think it is a serious matter. So we are exploring to get hold of the people, and when we get hold of them, we will of course try to prosecute them.

– I have found and charged a perpetrator in 35 of the 114 cases. Can other also the risk that In the goes out and calls them in the same way, if they do not announce themselves?

– Yes, definitely. This is a means to get hold of some of the perpetrators, as we would like to speak with. We can easily come to use this way to advertise for people again. We’ve got a few queries and have a clear sense that the population supports us in our endeavour to get hold of the perpetrators, who will police it hurt, he says.

If you know the identity of some of the people in question, you can call 114 or write to kbh-operativ-specialafdeling@politi.dk.
