A profile of the Norwegian footballer in the 20-years is sentenced to 18 days fengselstraff after råkjøring on E18 at Sandvika.

According to the judgment, it was 16. December of last year, approximately at 2 at night, that the football player was measured at an average speed of at least 131 km/h in an 80 zone.

He declared himself guilty, and the whole was decided by the tilståelsesdom.

He has a number of games for his age group national teams, and has played over 100 matches in the top division.

In court he has explained that råkjøringen took place in connection with a passing of two cars, and believes that the route he exceeded the speed limit was not long.

He doubts not, however, that the police measurement is correct.

the Court considered neither that it was a passing, or the fact that he is a football player, as there are special mitigating circumstances in the case.

In the judgment states that the football player was measured over a stretch of 2667 meters, something the court believes that the indicates that the move may have been higher than 131 km/h along the way.

“Want to be a role model”

the football player expressed concern that his imprisonment will have “great consequences for the treningsarbeidet his in half a year in the future.” Also the loss of førerretten, he believes, will complicate travel in connection with his job as a footballer.

“He wants to be a role model for children and young people and says it is the sin he must atone such punishment”, is described in the judgment.

In addition to the 18-day prison sentence, was the football player also imposed a fine of 12 500 dollars and the loss of førerretten in eight months.
