A major power outage occurred Monday morning “in the west of Paris”, both in the capital and in several municipalities in the first crown, affecting at least 73,000 customers, indicated the network manager RTE, the cause not yet determined.

For the moment, this is “not a figure that includes the entire accident”, but only the customers of the municipalities of Courbevoie, Clichy, Neuilly and Levallois-Perret affected by the breakdown, which concerns a power of 130 MW, specified the manager of the high voltage electrical network. The number of Parisian homes without electricity was not given.

The breakdown occurred at 7:07 a.m. in a substation which, because of its structure, requires on-site intervention by RTE agents to be repaired. According to the website of energy supplier Enedis, the outage should be repaired around 9 a.m.
