This incomprehensible gesture had apparently nothing painful because the Spaniard did not “sink his fangs” into the flesh of the defender of the Yellow Submarine. The Algerian was just very surprised at what had just happened.
His gesture was not sanctioned by the referee or even reviewed by the VAR. The images will still perhaps be reviewed by the disciplinary committee, which will decide whether to crack down or not. Alejo would then risk many games of suspension.
