The american media giant CBS is refusing to pay out 120 million dollars to the ex-ceo Leslie Moonves, who was fired after accusations of sexual assault. It writes the Associated Press.

CBS reports that an internal investigation has concluded that the charges against Leslie Moonves was ‘justified’. He will therefore not receive his fat fratrædelsespakke.

the Board of directors for mediegiganten points out at the same time, Moonves has not sufficiently managed to cooperate with the investigators, who investigated the sexual charges. Thus he lived not up to the wording in his contract.

the 68-year-old Moonves was fired in september, when six women stood forward in the magazine The New Yorker and accused him of harassment and sexual assault.

the Allegations included forced oral sex, harassment, violence and threats. The alleged abuse took place, before Leslie Moonves was head of CBS.

Moonves has against the magazine, rejected the allegations as ‘false’.

Leslie Moonves had since 2006 been the executive director of the CBS and credited to have transformed an old-fashioned tv-station into a modern media company.

He has been among the most respected and well-paid executives in the u.s. entertainment industry, until he in summer was accused of inappropriate behavior.

Thus have three profiles at CBS lost their jobs following accusations of inappropriate behavior: Moonves, “60 Minutes’-editor Jeff Strand and tv host Charlie Rose.

CBS has previously announced that it will donate 20 million dollars in support for the Meto-the movement and associations, who are fighting for equality.
