jubilation on the streets in Pakistan after the alleged shooting down of two Indian fighter aircraft over Kashmir. In the metropolis of Lahore in the North-West of the country the demonstrators called for a “Holy war” against India.
“We want to show the Indians that we are United and behind our armed forces,” said one of the protesters. “The Indians have yesterday claimed that they had led an air attack against us, but today we have shown them and us avenged.”
