Teresa Fernandez-Pacheco, Councilor, presented the summer program promoted by the Youth Department of Andujar City Council. This program has the main goal of offering healthy leisure options to young people in the municipality during summer months.

A free course in Spanish sign language for young people aged 14 to 30 was the first step of the programming. The council also restored the 24-hour availability of the Study Rooms, located in both the Calle del Carmen and the Bus Station.

The mayor spoke out about this service and explained that, “as a novelty,” users of these study areas will need to register in Youth area’s computer system and request an access card in order to be able use the same in an uninterrupted time>>.

Fernandez-Pacheco, on the other hand, has announced that the Multicines Paris will again offer free film sessions every Thursday in July or August. This is “one of the most requested and popular activities by the youths of Andujar”. Each person who presents a youth card will receive an invitation. All titles will also be communicated via social media.

A multi-adventure activity for youth aged 14 to 20 will also be held at Camping de La Bolera de Pozo Alcon in the next few days. It will include activities such as zip line, canoeing, climbing, and canoeing. There are only a few places available so please apply to the City Council’s general registry.

“One more year, we will launch initiatives specifically for young people in the municipality. We are betting on the most popular activities, but also offering experiences related to training or sports practices. The mayor stated that the City Council will continue to support youth and offer them leisure options so they can enjoy summer.
