the Prelude has been almost infinitely long. But now they are finally here, the electric vehicles, which both offers reasonable handling, decent comfort, great space, reasonable range, and not the least is to pay.
It is for example the case for the new Kia e-Niro. We are running the first turn during a presentation in Nice, and here it does a very good impression.
Kia e-Niro will be available with the same electric motors at either 136 or 204 horsepower, which you find in koncernfætteren Hyundai Kona Electric.

Hyundai has been forced to scale back the scope with about 30 kilometers compared to what the manufacturer had promised to start with, because the external department, which was to calculate the range, had made a mistake. The rays, however, do not know to e-Niro is the one of the ‘popular’ electric car, which features the longest range.
The Danish importer do not yet have prices of space, but the paper is, to e-Niro must be a bit more expensive than the Hyundai Kona Electric. Here starts the price at the 270,000 dollars with the small motor and battery pack, while the model costs from 300,000 crowns with the large motor and battery.

Known model
the starting point for the electric Kia is the halvhøje Niro-model, already have got a good grip as both hybrid and pluginhybrid.
In the electric version the car has got a battery pack placed in the bottom and under the trunk, and it is just as uncomplicated to drive as it looks. You put yourself into, pushing the large, central wheels of a gear shifter in ‘Drive’ and running.
The essential difference in relation to the Hyundai Kona Electric is that Kia e-Niro is a pure family car. It means that you have a wheelbase of 2.70 meters and a regular space on both rear seats.

Where Hyundai Kona Electric is equipped with a different interior than the regular Kona models, similar to e-Fearing cabin a long way towards any other Niro. And it does not matter. It is quite welcoming, although there are areas of hard plastic. The only difference is that kardantunnelen is replaced by a free-floating gearskiftekulisse.
The electric drive can be monitored at a centrally-located touch screen of seven inches and on a screen in instrumenthuset. Here, the driver can among other things get information on how much of the trip, which is run economically, and one can see the proportion of ‘dynamic’ drive for each drive.
On the road you can switch between the settings ‘Economy’, ‘Normal’, ‘Sport’ and not least ‘Eco-plus’, where there really is screwed down to the flare. The engine’s 204 hp and 395 Nm means that you have to be careful with speederfoden, if you want to avoid making the wheel spin and hurtle past the 50 km/h. in the city.
Overtaking be done to turn gelinde. We drove the car in town, on the highway and on winding mountain roads, and here it became clear that the electrical Niro is a car with its soft suspension is geared to please rather than to provide a sporty setup.

heat Pump helps

The immediate experience of the car’s actual range is positive. A real assessment of the Kia e-Niro, however, require a longer test on the Danish roads and in cold weather.
It pulls the dog up, that all e-Niro has a system, which insulates and warms the battery, while the large model is furthermore equipped with a heat pump, so you do not use undue power to the warming of the cabin. The car can be charged in between six and 9.5 hours at home, in the 60 to 75 minutes at a 50 kW charger, and 50 minutes at a 100 kW charger.
The electric Kia e-Niro looks promising. It is practical and offers both ride comfort and good range. If the price holds, and the range remains close to the promised in the Danish winter cold, the model has all the prerequisites to be a hit.
