Logicor grows in Catalonia with the purchase of logistics land in the municipality of Abrera (Baix Llobregat). Specifically, the British firm has acquired a piece of land with a gross surface area of ​​88,000 square meters in an area of ​​great demand and growth thanks to good road communications and proximity to the city of Barcelona.

The seller of the land is the Grifols family, according to sources in the sector, who point out that the amount of the operation has been closed for around 20 million.

“With this purchase we are in an even stronger position to meet the great demand for modern, sustainable and high-quality logistics space that we are currently seeing in this area,” said the company’s general manager in southern Europe, Manuel Vericat.

On that surface, a 40,000-square-meter warehouse and another of about 6,000 square meters will be built. Logicor -advised on this operation by Garrigues, Arcadis and Forcadell- trusts in putting the necessary procedures on track with the aim of beginning the development of the land at the beginning of 2023.

The company adds assets in Spain with an area of ​​one million square meters, basically distributed between Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. The brand sees the Catalan capital as “an important logistics gateway for southern Europe”.
