After a shot in a shopping center in the southern Swedish city of Malmo, one of the two injured died on Friday. A man had succumbed to his injuries, police said in the evening. An injured woman receives medical treatment in a hospital.

The police said they had arrested a youth believed to be the perpetrator. She ruled out a possible terrorist motive and stated that it was probably an “isolated incident related to the criminal milieu”.

Local media, citing eyewitnesses, reported that a man shot people indiscriminately at the Emporia shopping mall. This was not confirmed by the police.

In July, three people were killed in a gun attack in a shopping center in the Danish capital Copenhagen, which is around 30 kilometers from Malmo.
