Armilla hosts celebrations in honor of San Miguel at the end of September. Due to the coronavirus crisis, they won’t be able celebrate this 2020. In recent months, Granada has been hit hard by a pandemic which has also affected Armilla.

Some activities will still be conducted with security precautions and directed at the most vulnerable residents of the town. Activities begin Friday, September 25, at 6:00 pm. This will be followed by the Night of Monologues at 9:30 pm in Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Saturday will see a parade through the municipality at 12:00 noon. At night, it will be the turn of Copla Concert at 9:00 pm in Plaza del Ayuntamiento. On Sunday, the San Miguel Concert will take place in Plaza del Ayuntamiento at 12:00. At 18:00, there will be a children’s show. The activities will end on Tuesday with several puppets in Plaza Santa Teresa at 6:00 pm.

The Armilla City Council wanted a message to encourage all its residents with this year’s motto: “We will celebrate it again”. They encourage neighbors to eat at local restaurants and leisure establishments during these days. They also remind you to exercise a lot of responsibility and respect hygiene and distance rules.
