Uber launched in march of last year a service called Uber X in Bacelona, which uses licensed commercial drivers.
The local government of Catalonia and the city council of Barcelona has decided to taxi services like Uber X is only allowed to pick up passengers on a scheduled run is at least 15 minutes delayed. The decision was made after taxi drivers have been on strike in the rounds in Barcelona.
