A nurse by the name of Nathan Sutherland at 36 years old has been arrested for sexual assault after a woman in a vegetative state gave birth to a son in Phoenix, Arizona last month. It writes multiple media including the Independent and the Huffington Post.

The non-responsive woman was attended to by two doctors, both of which were dismissed after the child’s birth.

– From the moment we became aware of the crime, we have been working non stop seven days a week to solve the case, said police chief Jeri Williams after the announcement of the arrest.
