The accident happened on 19 november, when a group of workers was working in the signal box of its mission at the station of Bruges.

The consequences were heavy: two workers from Erpe-Mere were seriously injured and were taken to hospital. Especially the condition of Peter Van Impe (53) was critical. The doctors kept him for weeks in an artificial coma, but last week there was finally a glimmer of hope for his family. The doctors decided to have Peter from his coma never to awaken. His wife, Wendy Van der Pulst could still not start the conversation with her husband.
