A cruise ship with 1300 passengers on Board, ran off the Norwegian coast in distress. The ship have had to be evacuated, a motor problem, which is why it informed the police of the Norwegian province of Møre og Romsdal on Saturday on Twitter. At about 16.30 hours, the first 100 people had been brought to the country. The radio station NRK showed footage of the “Viking Sky” in a strong swell in the dangerous part of coast of Hustadvika, where there are numerous small Islands and reefs.
The südnorweg of rescue service said the ship had stopped because of the drive problems in case of adverse weather conditions, an emergency call and driving in the direction of the coast. Several helicopters and ships were on the way to the area. The Hustadvika waters are located in Kristiansund on the West Central coast of Norway and is considered as a dangerous area, in the frequent ship accidents happened. (dpa)
