Fresh every day Donuts are delicious (and now the carnival is, they are everywhere) and appelflappen. So why not fritters with a chunky apple filling? One plus one in this case is really three. What do you need? (for 4-6 persons)
1 apple, cubed
200 ml milk
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
10 g yeast
250 g flour, sifted
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
cooking oil
this is how you make it :
1. Warm the milk together with the vanilla sugar until lukewarm. Remove from the heat and stir in the yeast.
2. Put the sifted flour in a bowl and add the milk.
3. Split the eggs. Add the yolks to the batter. Mix the appelblokjes there also under. Whisk the white into foam and mix gently under the batter.
4. Add the salt and mix briefly just to combine. Lay a clean kitchen towel over the batter and leave half an hour in a warm place.
5. Heated up in the frying oil to 180°C.
6. Shovel, with a ijsschepper, a 4-many balls in the hot fat and fry about 5 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from the fat and leave to drain. Bake all of the dough.
