Movie Tonight was held in Brussels the movie premiere instead of Dumbo, the live-action adaptation of the well-known Disneyklassieker about a flying elephant. With a handkerchief at the ready, came the BV’s of the Vaudeville Theater, because the story remains, of course, equally touching and heart-warming as it used to.
78 years after the release of Dumbo flies the cutest elephant ever again in the cinema. But this time in a live-action version, with lifelike images of the characters and animals. But unlike the cartoon, there are no talking animals and more will be discussed and the focus is mainly on the people in and around the circus.
Dumbo tells the story of circus owner Max Medici, the former star Holt Farrier asks for together with his children to care for a newborn elephant. Only it’s not just any elephant, but one whose large ears him a laughing stock in a struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, makes the circus an incredible comeback. But that is not for everyone good consequences.
The main roles in this movie are reserved for, among others, Colin Farrell, Danny DeVito, Michael Keaton and Eva Green. The direction was in the hands of Tim Burton. Dumbo plays from tomorrow, 27 march, in the cinema.
