Adelaide United’s Danish striker Ken Ilsø is Friday has been suspended after being tested positive for cocaine.

It informs Australia’s Football federation (FFA).

the 32-year-old Indelicato submitted a positive sample containing the drug benzoylecgonine in January, but has only been suspended now.

Cocaine is on The world anti-doping agency (Wada) list of prohibited substances, and the case is therefore being investigated by the australian antidopingmyndigheder.

– While the investigation is currently ongoing, is Ken Ilsø Larsen excluded from participation in the A-League and all other sports under Wada, informs the FFA.

Ken Ilsø states that he ‘is working closely with the PFA (the players union edit.)’ and ‘awaiting results from the B sample’.

– I can not comment further before the results have come, he says.
