football can be, under certain conditions, a very simple game. To observe was that in the past few weeks, the current German champion BR Volleys. It’s not human,“ says Patch, when he looks back at the difficult months.
Patch is not the typical athlete, he is a reflective person with a Sunny disposition. “Hi, I’m Benjamin Patch,” he introduces himself on his Homepage. “And although we don’t know you, I love you.” His life revolves solely around Sport. He loves to photograph and has a soft spot for the art. “I want to be a Art Designer for magazines,” says the 24-Year-old. Most of all he wants to stay even after his career in Berlin. “I like this city very much, she is like a second home for me.”
Until the age of 15 he began with Volleyball
However, an end to the sporting career is not yet in sight. It is a small sporty Sensation, that Patch even made it to the U.S. national team. Because in the state of Utah, where he grew up, Volleyball is apparently not a men’s sport: “For us guys play Volleyball, so I played with the women.” With 15 years he started with Volleyball. In this age, Patch was still quite small for the sport. “So I made the jump training, in order to compensate for this,” he says. “I quickly realized that I have a special Talent.” And so he jumped higher and higher, at the same time, a growth, a continued boost. Patch today is 2.05 meters tall, and jumps like a bouncy ball on the floor. Allegedly, he reached for his blaring strokes – measured from the floor to the hands – a tee with a height of 3.70 meters. A goal is 2.44 metres high.

Patch would be the perfect volleyball player, he dominated the technique: “to be Honest, the fact that I started late with football, I need to work a lot of the basics.” Patch has in comparison to Carroll over a modest range of Attacking shots. “He lives from his athleticism and needs to learn a lot,” says Niroomand. “But he has done in the last few months.” This is also why the chances for the Volleys, in spite of a clumsy start again, well, that trophy at the end of the season, the Most in the hands.
