the 64 of the world’s best players were qualified for the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play, and it finally became an all american final. Kevin Kisner defeated Matt Kuchar on the 16th hole, with the 3/2 (three-hole when two holes remained).
the 35-year-old Kisner already showed last year that he is a strong matchspelare. He then went to the final in this competition, defeated by Bubba Watson, after beating out Alex Norén in the semi-finals.
to Kisner advanced from 50th to 25th in the world, which is still topped by american Dustin Johnson, the closest to the result of the englishman Justin Rose and nordirländaren Rory McIlroy.
Dane Lucas Bjerregaard was the big sensation in the match play in Austin. He defeated, among others, Henrik Stenson in the second round, and Tiger Woods in the quarterfinals, before Matt Kuchar was difficult in the semi-finals.
The tough match, however, went the distance, all the way to the 18th hole, just as the other semi-final between Kevin Kisner and Francesco Molinari. Italian Molinari won the match for third place against Lucas Bjerregaard.
