In the world of entrepreneurship, the second wave is already there. The containment has been the occasion of an awareness of the importance of digital for many small structures: sole proprietorships, companies under one hundred employees… The déconfinement sounds the time of the implementation of good resolutions. “Professionals and SMES flock to our offerings for the past three weeks,” says Peter Clement, director of enterprise France at Orange. All realized the importance of having a good connectivity and, therefore, to have the fiber and , for mobile subscriptions, with an envelope of data “consistent”.
This is accompanied by an increase in the demand for the “keys to 4G”, these deals that allow you to create a WiFi network on the basis of a connection to 4G. This device is designed to take the relay in case of failure of the fixed connection. So this is “belt and suspenders” to activities more dependent on their Internet connection, including merchants, pharmacy, etc.
connections are important to maintain the contact with the customers, but also with the employees. The SMES, which were massively converted to telework must deal with the sustainability of this mode of operation, it is necessary to manage in the long term, the fact of having several rooms instead of one, to connect. “Telework has increased from 10 to 15% of the workforce before the containment to 50% to 60%. It is in the process of democratisation, it is thus necessary to have tools to keep it in time,” sums up Pierre Clément.
More online visibility
“We also found a very strong increase in the demand for internet sites, whether simple showcases online to be visible or to the creation of an offer of e-commerce”, adds Pierre Clément, who account for more than 5,000 new customers to the offer “turn-key website” Orange. The operator has two offers, one at 39 euros per month, for a showcase online, and the other at 79 for e-commerce. “We expect a very rapid growth of these offerings. The need for visibility on the web has become obvious,” adds Pierre Clément.
SMES and professionals are also turning more and more towards the deals that were still until recently rather sought-after by the largest companies. The increase of 20% to 25% of cyber-attacks during the containment has highlighted the importance for professionals to equip themselves with tools to protect their equipment. More generally, the applications designed for scanning of the activity, have the wind in their sails. Orange is not the only one to see an increase in traffic on its platform applications to companies, applications that are developed by third party publishers, selected by the operator and offered to its customers on these marketplaces. Other, have seen new requests pouring in, such as Send In Blue, specializing in the sending of mails targeted to the customer.
