Los Angeles FC qualified for the Concacaf Champions League final by beating the Philadelphia Union (3-0) in the return leg played at home on Tuesday. In the first leg, the two teams left in a draw (1-1).
Germany’s Timothy Tillman opened the scoring in the 13th minute for LAFC, with Ghana’s Kwadwo Opoku (82nd) and Gabon’s Denis Bouanga (90th) adding to his late success.
This is the second time that the Californian club, reigning MLS champions, have reached this stage of the event. In 2020 he lost to the Tigers of Frenchman André-Pierre Gignac. An opponent he could find, if he confirms, in Leon on Wednesday, his victory obtained in the first leg (2-1).
