The 23-year-old player, under contract with Arsenal until 2025, comes out of a full season at OM with 39 matches played, including 31 in the French league, and six goals scored. The Gunners announced the Portuguese’s loan via a statement.
Nuno Tavares said afterwards that “Forest is a historic club which has won two European Cups (the Champions Club Cup in 1979 and 1980, editor’s note) and to be part of it makes me really happy. I am happy to stay in the Premier League, the best league in the world, and I am grateful to Forest for giving me the opportunity”.
Promoted in 2022, Forest currently sit 14th in the Premier League after winning in three games.
