This is a (very) nice sum. Thanks to the transfer of Edouard Mendy from Chelsea in Saudi Arabia, to Al-Ahli, for an amount of 18.5 million euros, the Municipalities of Le Havre, one of the goalkeeper’s training clubs, will receive nearly half a million euros, revealed Paris-Normandy. More specifically, the training in which the winner of the Champions League 2021 evolved between 2006 and 2011 should receive just over 400,000 euros. “The information is very fresh, we do not know precisely how things will happen, but indeed, we should receive a surrounding sum”, confirmed Jean-Michel Naze, the president of the structure.
This sum of money is obviously welcomed with great joy by the Municipalities of Le Havre: “What can I say? Except that this is obviously excellent news for the club, a contribution that will help us a lot, ”said Jean-Michel Naze in Paris-Normandy. The Le Havre club should invest it, among other things, in the training of its educators but also in improving the conditions of its young licensees. Much like what they had done previously, when they pocketed €500,000 (more than double their budget at the time) after Edouard Mendy’s transfer from Stade Rennes to Chelsea for €24 million . In addition, the other training clubs (Caucriauville, AS Cherbourg, Le Havre AC) of the porter will also receive a small sum.
