Grégoire Barrère, 57th in the world, qualified for the semi-finals of the Eastbourne grass tournament on Thursday by beating Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic (41st) 7-5, 7-6 (7/2).

At 29, the Frenchman will play his first half on the ATP circuit and will face the American J.J. Wolf (46th) or his compatriot Tommy Paul (17th) on Friday to try to go further.

Until then, Barrère had failed three times in the quarterfinals, in Metz in 2019, as well as in Montpellier in 2020 and 2023.
