The Italian Jannik Sinner, 8th player in the world, easily disposed of his compatriot Lorenzo Musetti (21st) on Friday 6-2, 6-2 to join Holger Rune (9th) in the semi-finals of the Masters 1000 of Monte-Carlo.
At 21, Sinner reached the last four in Monaco for the first time in his career after having already played there last year.
After saving a match point in the round of 16 on Thursday, he did not feel the slightest difficulty in getting rid of Musetti who had made the match of his life the day before by beating the world No.1 and big favorite of the tournament Novak Djokovic.
