Franck Azéma (Toulon coach, defeated by Castres 31-18): “We lacked consistency, discipline. We didn’t play collectively enough. The success of Castres is deserved but we helped the Castres a lot too. It’s frustrating and a good kick in the ass before the next game and the semi-final. We were too vague. However, we hung on, we came back in the game but there was too much of a series of fouls in the second period, with fouls that were useless.
It’s a poor performance by the whole team. We will work this week collectively and question ourselves. Afterwards, we are not going to stab each other, we missed our match, we went through it, we are going to question ourselves and do better next week.
