Frenchwoman Mélanie Henique qualified for the 50m butterfly final at the Fukuoka World Championships in Japan on Friday. Henique, 30, finished fourth in the semifinals with a time of 25.70. It was Sweden’s Sarah Sjoestroem, with ten world championship titles – including four in the event – who logically finished in the lead in 24”74. She is ahead of Chinese Zhang Yufei and American Gretchen Walsh.
