A 16-year-old girl fell from a stand-up paddle board in Lake Ammer in the Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech and drowned.
The girl had already gone down several 100 meters from the north bank on Friday evening, the police said. Despite an immediately started large-scale search operation with 70 emergency services, the girl was initially not found.
On Sunday afternoon, a body was located in the water and taken out of the lake by divers. It is undoubtedly the missing person. According to bild.de, the dead girl comes from Buchloe.
The Fürstenfeldbruck Criminal Police Inspectorate took over the further investigations.
