The City Council has been able to intensify the cleaning and disinfection efforts that began days before the school year started. This work has been done in both municipally and public centers. It also included concerted efforts to disinfect enclosures, patios, and accesses. All educational personnel, including cleaners, are subject to PCR testing.
Paloma Moji, the mayor of Education, outlines the work the City Council has done since the pandemic. “With continuous meetings with representatives from the municipality’s health and police, to coordinate all efforts and implement the most effective preventative measures against Covid-19,” she said.
This aspect sees the three areas of Education, Citizen Security and Urban Mobility, as well as Works and Services, working together to address the needs that fall within their respective competences. Moyano says that the school transport service was brought forward to Monday, 14th, at the request of families.
These security measures are reinforced. The mask will be worn at all times and users will be assigned a seat throughout the course. Two monitors will accompany minors.
