The works to install artificial grass in the Municipal Stadium Santo Domingo’s annex, which was until a few weeks ago made of natural grass have been completed. They will soon be used.

It is currently working to replace the artificial grass at Santa Maria del Aguila’s Municipal Stadium. Once it is complete, it will be moved to Las Norias Municipal Stadium.

The new facilities will be compliant with NIDE 2017 football regulations. The total investment for the modernization project, which includes the provision of equipment in the three venues, will reach close to 900,000.

Francisco Gongora (the mayor of El Ejido), Maria Jose Martin (the mayor of Sports), and Alberto Gonzalez (the councilman for Public Works) supervised this week’s work in Santa Maria del Aguila. They pointed out that this was a “really needed action that will improve existing fields, which will allow greater use of these spaces to train and participate in municipal sports activities.”

The first mayor also emphasized the importance of “the work and constant commitment of government teams to improve sports facilities and expand them with very important projects that meet the high demand El Ejido has in sports matters, in terms offering reference infrastructures throughout the region and services of the highest quality>>.
