Over 500 people aged from La Zubia met up again for the traditional dinner, which was held on the occasion the festivities in honour of San Juan Nepomuceno. These celebrations are ongoing until Monday, May 16 in the metro area.

After two years of not being able hold this meeting because of the pandemic, the older Zubians gathered for a short chat. This was the first time that the Association of Innkeepers of La Zubia and La Zubia City Council organized food. It took place at the municipal booth.

Our elders have suffered the most since the pandemic. Two years of broken hugs, smiles through screens, fears, and absences have been their reality. Today, after two years of stealing hugs, of smiling through a screen, of fears and absences, they were finally able to get together and have a great time having fun and chatting.

The councilor thanked La Zubia Association of Hoteliers “for their impeccable job so that everything went perfect”, Obras and Servicios, La Zubia Voluntaria, “and all the workers who did their bit so that today, Yes, our elders smiled again, and had a great time.

Natalia Arregui (Councilor for Festivities of La Zubia) recalled that “the bar in La Zubia’s municipal booth will be fully managed this year by the Association of Hoteliers of La Zubia. This is a request they have been making for many years and this government team has been thrilled.”

The Association of Hoteliers of La Zubia and the City Council have constructed the largest municipal tent in the history of La Zubia. It covers more than 2,000 sq. meters and has two stages.
