Armilla City Council just launched www.armilla.es its new corporate website. It will be easier to use, more intuitive, visually appealing, and have more sections and content. Loli Canavate, mayor of Armilla, says that the website should be an aid for citizens and a means to communicate directly with them.
The new website will include a section that allows residents to download all types of documents and instances, along with the municipal organization chart and the transparency portal.
It will also include an updated calendar of sporting and cultural events, which will allow citizens to review all details about the varied programming generated by the municipality.
It is already accessible to all users and “completely accessible from any type of device, computer, tablet, or mobile phone.” The mayor said that it “above all, it gathers all the useful data for citizens.”
The online appointment system was created to facilitate this. It initially includes four services: Economy, Urban Planning, Citizen Services Office, Consumption, and Economy. However, it will soon be expanded to include more. “It’s about facilitating access and electronic processing for citizens facing the Covid-19 situation through appointment.” This is a new way that the consistory intends streamline the process while avoiding crowds. It also seeks to preserve citizens’ safety.
The rest of this section will allow you to access news related to institutional information, as well as municipal facilities like the sports complex, library, House of Culture and House of Youth, Ethnographic Museum, Casa Garcia of Viedma.
It is an evolving website that will be updated as citizens’ needs change.
The new website and the electronic headquarters portal are 80 percent funded by the European Regional Development Fund. This grant, which totals more than five millions euros, was given to Armilla by the European Regional Development Fund. It specifically corresponds with the Thematic Objective OT2 Promotion of open administration and electronic government.
