An autopsy was performed this Thursday on the bodies of the couple found in a house at Dos Hermanas in Seville. It revealed that the 53 year-old woman had suffered from 100 “contusive wounds” throughout her body, which led to her death. Her husband has three self-punctures, and toxicological analysis confirms that she took a “overdose” of pills.
According to the National Police, the main hypothesis in the investigation was “violence by women against men”. Later, he committed suicide. This would make the total number of victims of sexist violence in Seville to two, as a result of the discovery of the body and disappearance of a woman in the river section that runs through San Jerome.
According to the Forensic Anatomical Institute, the woman suffered multiple fractures in her head and nose as well as contusive injuries throughout her body. The total number of injuries is over 100. Exsanguination is the cause of death for this woman because of her multiple wounds.
