Summer is synonymous to vacations, and many people don’t remember the holidays. There are a few days that work cannot be done according to the established work schedule. August 15th, the Day of Assumption and Virgin of Spain, is a holiday that spans all of Spain.
Some communities also include another day on their holiday calendar. It’s July 25, the Day of Santiago Apostol, that falls on a Monday in 2022. Because it is a substitute national holiday, not all communities will host a party. The different regions have the option to choose to alter the date or place the holiday in a more traditional location.
The following four communities will be able to enjoy the July 25th holiday in 2022:
Galicia
Community of Madrid
Foral Community of Navarre
Basque Country
Rest of the communities preferred to move on to another date.
It will be the National Holiday on Wednesday, October 12. Due to All Saints Day celebrations, November 1 will be a holiday in Spain. Constitution Day will be observed on Tuesday, December 6. As is tradition, December 8 will be a holiday for Immaculate Conception. However, it will be on Wednesday.
The autonomy communities can move their celebrations to four holidays. This is Holy Thursday in 2022, which falls on Monday May 2, Monday after the Labor Festival, Monday July 25, (Santiago Apostol), and Monday December 26, (Monday following Christmas). ). All communities have agreed to keep January 6, which is also possible to be replaced, as a holiday in Spain.
