The exhibition ‘Identidades Diversxs” was opened in the exhibition hall at the Andalusian Young Institute. There were information tables, workshops for making banners, and book presentations. This weekend, the LGTBI Pride week organized by Colega Almeria, Families for Diversity, reaches its last stretch.

On Friday, the play ‘Chicos, Chicos, Chicos’ will be performed at the Apolo. Later, Saturday, the demonstration Almeria LGBTI Pride 2022’ will take place at the Puerta de Purchena starting at 7:30 p.m., and reaching the Parque de las Almadrabillas. Raul Castillo will read the manifesto. After that, there will be a huge party featuring musical performances, DJs and drags as well as many other surprises.

“Chicos Chicos Chicos” is a comedy written and directed by Higinio Rodrgueno. It stars Franel Cascon and Jacob Stankley as well as Rafa Fed Sol and Miguel Angel Jimenez. The play is about Miguel, a young actor who is being bullied by his father for not having enough money and forced to find work immediately. He will then have to make a pivotal decision at the party that he has thrown, which he does.

The LGTBI Pride is returning to the streets after two years of half-gas due to the covid epidemic.

It will be held next Saturday, July 2. The party will start at the Puerta de Purchena in central Madrid at 7:30 pm and end in the Parque de Las Almadrabillas, where the M2anifiesto is read and the final party begins.

Antonio Ferre, president and CEO of Colega Almeria, explained that the event will be a celebration of “For an Almeria without LGTBIphobia” and will include a batucada and trucks along its route. “We want Almeria to be more open and respectful with all people, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.”
